Hey all, it's actually my first time uploading pics here.
Took these last weekend just walking around Edinburgh.

Equipment - Canon 1d MK2n,Canon 24-70mm Lense, No tri-pod. Not sure what other details you all are used to seeing.

ps: Some image quality seems to of been lost due to the upload, but i think they are still ok even when viewing in full size.

Some nice shots there. Generally a bit too much contrast I reckon (and I quite like a contrasty pic). Not sure if you were after opinions or criticism but here goes anyway...

1. Nice richness and colour. Black area to the right, and two white houses are a tad distracting. I might have been tempted to shop out the branches top left or include more of them.

2. Not sure about this one - nice texture / detail though.

3. would have liked to have seen the top in focus, as well as a slightly more light / warmth on the cross, but nice composition.

4. Really love the texture of the wall and moss in this one, but not digging the background at all - just doesn't go IMHO. Too much out of focus, and the shape of the buildings don't seem to compliment the wall part of the pic.

5. Really nice detail - reckon I would have been tempted to lower the exposure over that top left window - it draws the eye a bit.

6. This is my favourite, although I reckon I would have opted for a bit more in focus to the right. The texture and colour is really nice and rich.

Some really usefull critique!

Firstly, some of the images have been tweeked in photoshop or lightroom. But it's mainly curve work and levels.
No images were croped. I am trying to get used to taking the image right the first time so when editing all i'm doing is enhancing colours or curves and so forth.

4) Totally agree, the 70 style council flats in the bak ground don't help the shot, but not a whole lot of option i'm affraid.

5) I see what you meen about the window. I never actually noticed it.

Number two has to be my fav, like the way the lights have come out Agree with most of the points natural made with regards the others.

All in all tho nice work

Great work - Edinburgh is a fantastic city, photographically and generally.

The night shots - especially number 2 work the best for me.
